Helga Breuninger

www.breuninger-stiftung.de. Dipl. rer pol., Dipl. Psych. Born 1947 in Stuttgart. Degree in economics and psychology. In 1980 received a doctorate from the University of Essen with a thesis on character building during teacher training. In 1980 set up the Helga Breuninger Foundation to encourage education and development. Since 1980 Curator of the Heinz Breuninger Foundation for the promotion of universal history, medicine, psychology and economics. In 1982 founded and headed own research institution at the University of Essen to develop a system for the treatment of learning disorders and school performance problems.

Co-founder and Chairperson of FiL – Association for Integrated Learning Therapy.

Since 1989 Head of the Research Department of the Breuninger Foundation, carrying out own operational projects. 1995 Initiator and Chairperson of the EXZET – Existenzgründerzentrum Stuttgart e.V. (an organisation to support new business) and a worldwide project at the EXPO 2000. Since 1996 Managing partner of successio GmbH – providing consultation to firms undergoing generational transition. In 1999 awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz (a state award to recognise outstanding achievements ) by German President Johannes Rau in Berlin. Since 1999 Chairperson of the Literature House Stuttgart Club. Since 2000 Chairperson of the Children- and Youth Association Stuttgart. In 2002 awarded the Hans Peter Stihl Price by the Region of Stuttgart for outstanding achievements. Chairperson of the supervisory board of the Sonnenberghospital Ltd. Stuttgart. Member of the Advisory Council for Education at the Baden-Württemberg ministry of education. Member of the Commission on Globalization at the State of the World Forum. Senator of the University of Stuttgart.
