Gidon Kremer
Violinist. Gidon Kremer established a worldwide reputation as one of the most original and compelling artists of his generation. He has won several international distinctions, among them the first prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He is the founder of the "Kremerata Musica", a music festival that gathers musicians from all parts of the world, to perform in an informal atmosphere conducive to discovery and communication. The festival is the realization of Gidon Kremer's belief that music can overcome all barriers of language and culture.
