H.R.H. Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld

Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld, Princess of the Netherlands, has always been working in the field of what we would call to-day personal empowerment, as a social educationalist, in Europe, South Africa and the US. For over 24 years she has facilitated transformational processes – working with groups and individuals. This goal now encompasses the vision that all of creation has a right of its own personal space and power. She worked in the political field in Spain (Carlism 1964-1980); she was active in feminism and the antinuclear movement; in cultural diversity in the Netherlands (co-founder of Isis Transcultural Leadership, business in a changing world, 1983); and finally in the natural environment (Founder President of the Foundation Lippe-Biesterfeld NatureCollege, 2001).
In her personal growth process she consciously moved from a position of “being against” and wanting to change the world, to an understanding that there is no wrong or right, but rather that there is space for learning in the all embracing universal love. She sees the healing within as part of the healing of the Earth. She considers herself as a student of life, exploring experiences in contact with realities even behind the visible.Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld has written several books on these subjects. Her book ‘Dialogue with Nature’ (1995) resulted as a bestseller. in the Netherlands and was translated into five languages. Her latest book on our relationship to earth is ‘Earth Lovers’.
In her most recent project in South Africa all her concepts come together: in the vast Karoo Highlands she manages a Nature Reserve: a place where all life forms heal each other, by being.
She is mother of four children.
