Sir Peter Ustinov †

Actor, writer. Sir Peter is known worldwide for his accomplishments as an actor, producer, director, novelist and playwright. Equally significant are his contributions as humanitarian and Goodwill Ambassador for Unicef. For over 25 years he has been an invaluable asset for advocacy, fund-raising and media events all over the world. Sir Peter has written several plays, books and motion picture scripts, directed films, plays, operas, and has starred in more than 35 films. For his professional work he has been bestowed many prizes, including two Oscars, three Emmys, and the Writer's Guild of Great Britain Award. One of Sir Peter's greatest objectives in life is to bring people together through the arts, forming a bridge of friendship between East and West, North and South. In 1993 he received the Medal for Distinguished Service from Unicef. In 2002 he was awarded with the Planetary Consciousness Prize of the Club of Budapest.

Sir Peter Ustinov died in spring 2004.
